Update in 2 parts

Part 1

Last night I met up with pinner123, Mike (OM2), Todd, Bill, and TJ to celebrate Dave's B-Day. We headed out to Studio Diner for dinner and laughs.

First of all, Studio Diner is awesome. Oh sure, Ruby's is lots of fun and all, and does have good food. Studio Diner, however, has a really warm, inviting, atmosphere; the waitstaff is friendly and helpful; and it's got awesome food as well! You *need* to check this place out.

Part 2

Work is weird lately. The office seems out of sorts, in a way. Unfortunately, it's a really long and twisted tale that isn't over yet, and we're not allowed to speak about it until papers have been signed, and the courts are no longer involved. Sorry to be so mysterious, I just can't talk about details.

As a result of all this, the office divided into 3 factions. Those who were incensed, those who were the targets, and those of us who didn't care all that much, and just wanted to get on with our work (I'm in the third group there). The people who had the most problem with what happened have raised such a fuss, that it's affecting all aspects of work, including one of the "targets" being sent to an office halfway across campus. She will have the same job, just in a different building, with a supervisor that has little to nothing to do with our program. It's fucking stupid, and makes work harder for everybody.

I really love working at a university. The benefits usually outweigh the lower pay ( i could be making over $15k - $20k more in the private sector), but then they pull crap like this.

Oh, add in the fact that I wasn't paid for over a month because the grant funds "weren't released" for my current project, and mix in the constant freezing fucking air blowing on my head all day from the "heating vents".

Bake at 350° until done. And I think I'm just about done, too.

Anybody need a decent php/MySql guy who's also a designer?
