Wow. You guys are awesome!

Thank you everybody for the warm welcome and kind words!

Hot dog on a stickFirst - I would like to add a 'thank you' to [livejournal.com profile] pinner123. After we talked about hot dogs Monday night, it started me thinking about the veggie-dogs. Even when i wasn't a veggie, I was never a big fan of hot dogs. They were ok, smothered in.. like.. tons of catsup, mustard, maybe some onions. Last night, tho, Justin and I were out doing some xmas shopping, and there was a Hot Dog on a Stick in the food court. And they had VEGGIE DOGS!

Of course, I had to try one. Just to see if my tastes had changed at all. The first bite was "oh. yeah. this tastes exactly like i remember them to taste ( 20 years ago)".. but then, something magical happened. I actually thought " huh. this isn't that bad after all. hey. this is kinda good!"

So now, i'm totally going to get some of those Morning Star Veggie Corn Dogs and see how they are.

It's always cool to challenge yourself, and find new things to enjoy!

Second - After the amazing reception you guys gave me, I was gushing about it to my best friend, Justin ([livejournal.com profile] raisincub). He decided it was time for him to get on LJ as well. Please help me in welcoming him to LJ!

spellcheck didn't complain. not my fault.
I blame Wikipedia, mostly because they're the easiest target.

Vegie or not, I cannot do Hot Dogs. Once in a great while I will have one and I am reminded why I don't eat them. BLEH!

the first bite of the veggie dog was kinda like that.. but then they got a lot better. I was pleasantly surprised. It's kind of like what my cousin's told me years ago:

"you can't know if you don't like a food, until you've had THREE bites of it"

Huh! I usually only go with two bites and will usually put the hot dog down. Interesting that you mention three bites specifically.

And so... one of my superpowers has been revealed....

I've never met anyone with a superpower! WooT! Alas, I am just a common man. :)

wow, I've always been a-skeered to go vegetarian, mostly because I can't stand tofu and hate most vegetables anyway. Like anything else I suppose, it'd take some getting used to.. For me I guess that kind of stuff would need to be 'disguised' somehow, e.g. Hot Dog On A Stick !! I find it rather amazing that they even offer a veggie-dog.
